We had an online training.The training was attended by seven participants from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Zambia, Bhutan, and Kenya.
We discussed situations where there is a lack of gender equality such as violence to women and children during the pandemic, and issues in their specific countries. We shared case studies of how to tackle these issues. Through this information exchange, we realized that the negative impact of the pandemic differed depending on gender.
Unfortunately, the participants could not come to Japan but they made good connections with each other and the training was completed in a warm atmosphere.
