Training Programs for International Government Officials

Gender Mainstreaming Policies for Government Officers (Online) – Winter 2021

Due to COVID-19, the participants could not come to Japan and we had an online training.

The training was attended by six participants from Malawi, Bhutan, and Cambodia.

One of the main difficulties in conducting live online lecture is the time difference. In some countries, the state of emergency had been lifted and people did not have to stay at home. Some participants in those countries attended the training from their offices. They were sometimes called by their bosses during the training, or they had to take a business trip and could not attend. These things demotivated the participants, and we found it difficult to provide all the participants with the training under the same circumstances. Fortunately, all the participants managed to complete the training thanks to their motivation.
