Many Japanese children today do not have strength to live through their lives independently, because they, in their process of growing, do not have sufficient experiences which are necessary for socialization. It is important to provide children with opportunities to obtain a zest for living, in other words, a healthy body, a well-rounded character and solid academic prowess.
Projects for children need to be conducted through the collaboration of schools, families and communities in order for them to acquire various experiences, such as communing with nature, working together, facing and overcoming diffi culties and enduring.
